What kind of leather that is used for making ballet slippers?

Would it be pig skin?

What kind of leather that is used for making ballet slippers?
Pigskin is rarely used for ballet slippers. Most often it is calf skin or cowhide. Once in a great while pig may be used for the toe area on soft slippers. You can spot pig because it usually has a sueded finish with visible pores.
